Discover the Museums of Cesenatico

Cesenatico Riviera Romagnola

Discover the culture of Cesenatico thanks to a single ticket that gives you the opportunity to visit three historical places of the seaside village: the Maritime Museum, the municipal Antiquarium and House Moretti.

The Maritime Museum traces the history and traditions related to the sea and navigation and houses ancient wrecks, building materials, anchors and sails. The "floating section" of the Museum consists of ten traditional Adriatic boats housed along the Porto Canale Leonardesco that, in summer, are equipped with the multicolored 'sails to the third' decorated with symbols that identified the families of fishermen.

The municipal Antiquarium allows you to explore the ancient origins of the seaside village of Cesenatico not only through sailing boats, but also thanks to the finds and archaeological remains, which testify to the many settlements of Roman times in the territory and the mysterious "Ad Novas".

House Moretti is the residence, now a museum, of the poet and writer Marino Moretti, born in Cesenatico in 1885. Inside there are preserved, in addition to the original furnishings of the time, books, documents and autographs, donated to the city by the poet and sister Ines.
