Guided tasting of Romagna Sangiovese
Tasting of three glasses of wine, accompanied by our bakery "Pane Sciocco" characteristic bread without salt of the Romagna tradition and "Bread Brusco" made with flour type 1 ground stone made with flour Molino Spadoni.
In this workshop you will explore, together with the Sommelier Andrea Spada, first sommelier of Italy in 1994-95, the different expressions of three different territories of Romagna, among the most representative: Modigliana, Bertinoro and Predappio. The protagonist will be Sangiovese, more correctly called Romagna Sangiovese, iconic grape of the town.
The tasting will focus on the terroir and its importance, to better understand how it affects the yield of the grape:
• ROMAGNA SANGIOVESE LIMBECCA 2018 AZ. PAOLO FRANCESCONI. Sangiovese in purity produced in the first hills of Faenza in biodynamic clay soils
• ROMAGNA SANGIOVESE RISERVA OMBROSO 2017 AZ. MADONIA. A wine that comes from Bertinoro and that the long aging first in barrique and then in bottle sometimes makes austere, rich and with incisive tannins. Excellent red to accompany meat dishes, it is also and above all a great meditation wine
• ROMAGNA SANGIOVESE "PREDAPPIO" 2020 AZ. CHIARA CONDELLO. The aging of this wine of Predappio both in wooden barrels and in steel containers makes it a red of good workmanship, where the variety is respected to the maximum, thanks also to the biological management of the vineyards
The experience will be accompanied by a guided tour of the Covered Market by the staff, to discover the history, architecture, furnishings and philosophy of the place.
